SURVEY- Tri-County Broadband Internet Survey

Tri-County General Use Social Image

The leadership of Macomb, Oakland and Wayne Counties have joined together to plan and conduct a regional survey to identify where high-speed internet is available, where gaps exist and what barriers prevent residents from accessing broadband. The three counties have partnered with the nonprofit Michigan Moonshot to create a 5-minute broadband survey to gather this information.
The survey officially launched in late May and the Macomb County Department of Planning and Economic Development is reaching out to local municipalities and partners for help in spreading the word about the effort. We hope you can join us in promoting the survey effort.
Here’s why this matters:
The survey results will help us seek federal and state funding that will increase internet access in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne Counties. We therefore need all households and businesses in these areas to complete this survey at their business or place of residence.
How to take the survey:

The online survey can be accessed at MichiganMoonshot.org/Tri-County-Broadband. Individuals can also call 313-625-0029 to request a paper survey be sent to a home.
Interested in assisting this effort by promoting the survey to your communities or connections? Find several supporting materials here, including:
  1. Copy to share via your organization's newsletter

  2. Social media content and images

  3. A flyer to post or pass out

So please join us in promoting these efforts. The more residents who participate in this survey, the better our chances are at obtaining the funding needed to improve internet accessibility. For questions concerning this survey, please call our resident answer line at 313-625-0029.
