Washington Township is now a Purple Heart Community!
The purpose and meaning of becoming a Purple Heart Community is to honor and remember our military personnel wounded or killed while serving with the U.S. military.
On May 17th, 2023 our Township was honored to receive the Accreditation of a Purple Heart Community, and we are proud to honor the brave men and women that were awarded the Purple Heart. Please join us for a Purple Heart Ceremony on Aug. 7, 2023 at 11:00am at our Memorial for the unveiling of our new Purple Heart Flag & Purple Heart Community Signs that will be on display, and most importantly to pay respects.
