Consumer Fireworks Regulations & Prohibited Conduct

It shall be unlawful for any person to ignite, discharge, and/or use consumer fireworks, except on the days:

  • The Saturday and Sunday immediately preceding Memorial Day
  • June 29
  • June 30
  • July 1
  • July 2
  • July 3
  • July 4
  • July 5, if that day is a Friday or Saturday
  • The Saturday and Sunday immediately preceding Labor Day
  • December 31 until 1:00AM on January 1

    Consumer Fireworks shall not be ignited, discharged, or used prior to 11:00AM or after 11:45PM on the above days, except that fireworks may be utilized from 11:00AM on December 31 until 1:00AM on January 1.

    A person shall not ignite, discharge, or use consumer fireworks on public property, school property, church property, or the property of another person without that organizations or persons express written permission to use those fireworks on those premises.

    Consumer fireworks shall not be ignited, discharged, or used by a person under the influence of alcohol liquor, or controlled substances or a combination of both.

    A minor shall not possess, ignite, discharge, or use consumer fireworks.
